The difference between famous and popular
I'm sure, many people are confused about these words. Today I'm going to explain the function of two words.
Both of them are Adjectives.
The word 'famous' means known by many people. And the word 'popular' means liked by many people.
Example:
1. J.K. Rowling is a famous author. (He is known by many people.)
2. Football is a popular sport. (It is liked by many people.)
